Team spirit (TS), attitude (PIC/PIN/MOTS) and home advantage
The midfield rating is affected by these three factors, which are real multipliers. A key resource you need to learn to manage.
Team spirit and attitude on midfield

Midfield factors
| Situation | Midfield |
|---|---|
| Normal, away | 100% |
| At home | 119.9% |
| Derby (away team) | 111.5% |
| Match of the season (MOTS) | 111.5% |
| Play it cool (PIC) | 83.9% |
| Counter-attack tactic | 93% |
The factors multiply: home + MOTS = 133.7%; home + PIC + counter-attacks = 93.6%.
- TS restarts at "composed" (4.5) at the start of the season; confidence at 5.0 (since 2024).
- Lowering training intensity raises TS (it must be done before the update preceding training), but worsens form in the following weeks.
- Since 2024 confidence changes every day, towards a value that depends on goals scored and conceded, fan expectations, the coach's leadership and the sports psychologist. Confidence is not lost after a win with many goals conceded.
How to manage TS
- TS builds up when you play official matches (league and main cup) as Play it cool (PIC) and is spent with Match of the season (MOTS). After the match PIC multiplies TS by 1.33, MOTS halves it.
- Between matches TS always tends to return to its base value, 4.5 ("composed"). If it is above, it drops; if it is below, it rises; and the further it is from the base, the faster it moves.
- With a coach with high leadership, TS drops more slowly when it is above the base and rises faster when it is below.
- The sports psychologist raises the base value by up to +0.5 (from 4.5 to 5), which also changes how fast TS rises or drops.
- TS is updated several times a week, at fixed times.
- In Arena tournaments everyone usually plays with TS fixed at 5.
